Use columns, filters, and sorting to focus on the customers and fields you need.
Choose columns
Open the Columns picker.
Show or hide fields (some identity columns stay always visible).
Your column choice is remembered in this browser.
Add filters
Click Filters.
Choose a field, condition (for example contains, is, is empty), and value.
Add more filters if needed. Filters search across your whole customer list (combined with search and segment), not only the current page. The table reloads to show matching customers.
Sort
Open Sort, or click a column header where sorting is available.
Choose ascending or descending order.
Search vs filters
Search asks Shopify for matching customers (name, email, phone, tags).
Filters also run store-wide. Common fields (name, email, tags, address, marketing state, orders, spend, …) are sent to Shopify’s customer search. Other fields (for example some metafields, note, locale) are matched while scanning results.
For large stores, combine search or a segment with filters for best results.
When you use Select all matching for bulk apply, the selection follows your current search, segment, and filters (not only the rows on the current page).
