What is EU E-Invoice?

EU E-Invoice helps you create compliant electronic invoices from your Shopify orders.

Right now, the app is focused on Belgium. Invoices use the Peppol BIS 3.0 format so you can share a professional PDF with customers and download the matching XML when you need it.

What you can do

  • Save your company details and VAT number in Company Settings.

  • Generate e-invoices for orders with a Belgian billing address.

  • Preview and download PDF and XML files from the Orders page.

  • Create credit notes when an order has refunds (Belgian orders).

What you need on each order

For an invoice to be created, the order must include complete billing details (name, email, address, city, postal code, phone, and billing country Belgium). If something is missing, invoice actions stay disabled until the order is updated in Shopify.

Note: Additional EU countries may be added in the future. Today, Belgian billing addresses are required.
