When you save a translation in the editor, OO Translations locks that field. Automatic and scheduled jobs will not overwrite it.

Why locks exist

So AI can fill missing or outdated content without replacing carefully written marketing, legal, or brand copy.

Unlock a field

  1. Open the field in Translate.

  2. Use Unlock (wording may vary) so automatic jobs can update it again.

Good to know

  • Locks apply per field, locale, and resource — not to the whole product.

  • Restoring a backup can bring back earlier values; review important pages after a restore.
