What happens when I change my theme?

Overview

When you change your Shopify theme, the bulk order form does not automatically move to the new theme.

This is normal Shopify behavior.

What stays the same

Changing your theme does not affect:

  • Your bulk order forms

  • Product selection

  • Pricing rules

  • Visibility settings

  • Customer access

All configuration inside the app remains intact.

What you need to do after changing a theme

After activating a new theme, you must add the app extensions again.

Product page

  • Open the theme editor for the new theme

  • Add the Product Page extension to product pages

Bulk order page

  • Open the theme editor for the new theme

  • Add the Bulk Order Page extension to your bulk order page

Why this happens

App blocks and extensions are:

  • Theme-specific

  • Not shared between themes

  • Managed by Shopify’s theme editor

Each theme must be configured separately.

How to check if everything is set up correctly

After switching themes:

  • Check the dashboard status indicators

  • Visit a product page

  • Visit the bulk order page

  • Test with a customer who has access

Common issues

“The form disappeared after changing my theme”

This usually means:

  • The extension is not added to the new theme

  • The old theme still has the extension

Simply re-add the extension in the new theme.

Best practices

  • Add the extensions immediately after switching themes

  • Test visibility and pricing again

  • Keep notes on which themes are configured

  • Avoid switching themes right before going live
