Product information modules

• Product option (set option name, e.g. Color)

Content modules

Reference modules

• Metafield reference — namespace, key, product or variant owner

• Metaobject — referenced metaobject field

Custom attributes

Use for merchant-specific specs that are not standard Shopify fields (warranty text, battery range, material blend, etc.). Choose a value type when relevant (text, measurement, number, boolean, link, …).

Best practice

If a row maps to live product data, use the matching Shopify module — not a custom attribute. That keeps Comparison and Specs accurate when products change.
