Translate calculator UI strings for one language or all shop languages with AI.

What this does

In General settings → Translations, AI can fill customer-facing strings (labels, placeholders, validation messages, and related UI text) for your published Shopify languages.

Where to find it

  1. Open a calculator in the Calculator builder.

  2. Go to General settings → Translations.

  3. Above the language tabs you will see:

    • Translate [current language] with AI – fills the active language tab.

    • Translate all languages with AI – fills every published language tab, including English.

How source text is chosen

AI uses existing text from your source language (usually English) when filled in; otherwise it uses the default placeholders shown in the editor. Placeholders such as {min}, {max}, {count}, and {size} stay unchanged.

Plan access

AI translations use the same AI access as the calculator and formula assistants (Free: one trial use shared across AI features; Starter and above: unlimited, subject to rate limits).

After translating

  • Review the strings in each language tab.

  • Save the calculator — AI only fills the editor; it does not save by itself.
