How quantity breaks work

How volume pricing quantity breaks, price types, and product-page layouts work.

Overview

Volume pricing lowers the unit price when a buyer orders more of a product. Buyers see the breaks on the product page, for example 1โ€“9, 10โ€“49, and 50+.

Use it when wholesale buyers expect quantity breaks instead of one flat B2B price. It does not replace a company price list or a bulk order form.

How a break is calculated

Each tier has a minimum quantity and a price:

  • Fixed price โ€” that unit price from the minimum quantity upward.

  • Percent off โ€” a percentage off the unit price. You can round the result (none, nearest, or other rounding set on the form).

The default breaks start at 1, 10, and 50. You can change the minimums. A variant can have its own override when the catalog price should not follow the form default.

How it looks on the product page

Choose a layout in the form, or set the default under Volume pricing โ†’ Settings:

  • Table โ€” columns for quantity, unit price, and savings.

  • Segment โ€” a compact bar of quantity chips.

  • Offer cards โ€” full-width offers with price and savings.

  • Timeline โ€” vertical steps that show buying more saves more.

Quantity labels can be a range (10โ€“49, then 50+) or a minimum (10+, From 10). The heading defaults to Quantity breaks. Savings can show as a percent, an amount, or both.

Plan and visibility

Volume pricing is included in Starter and Growth. Turn the module on under B2B pricing.

Visibility can be all customers, or limited to tags, specific customers, or companies. Only people who match the rule see the breaks.
